As we drove further into the countryside, we noticed that the roads were not as smooth as the highways we were used to. They were bumpy and a bit rocky here and there, and there was a risk of encountering potholes. We also had to be careful as we drove, as the cows often crossed the road without warning, and we had to slow down to let them pass.
Being in Cattle Country Alberta also meant that we had a chance to experience the iconic cowboy lifestyle. As we drove through the ranch areas, we could see the odd cowboy and cowgirl on horseback, herding the cattle and leading them to the next pasture. We even stopped by a few roadside ranches to take pictures with them and to learn more about their way of life. As the sun began to set, we came across a lonely prairie road that seemed to stretch out for miles. Driving in Cattle Country Alberta was an experience we will never forget. It gave us a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse ourselves in the simplicity of country living. We will always cherish the memories we made on that unforgettable journey through the heart of some of Alberta Canada's cattle ranches open ranges.
