High River Medieval Faire 2025: A Knightly Adventure
KassDays made their first trip to the High River Medieval Faire & Tournament on June 28–29, 2025, and it delivered a perfect weekend escape into the past. Held at the High River Agricultural Society grounds, the event transformed the grounds into a lively medieval village filled with artisan vendors, hearty food, live music, and plenty of hands-on history.

The real star for us was the jousting. Watching those powerful horses thunder down the track with knights in full armour was thrilling—elegant, powerful, and full of skill. The horses stole the show with their grace and strength, whether charging in the joust or performing in demonstrations. The full-contact armoured combat was equally impressive, with knights clashing in exciting bouts that brought the medieval spirit to life.
Beyond the arena, the faire offered a welcoming family atmosphere with craft stalls, period performers, and delicious festival eats. It was a well-organized, fun day that felt immersive without being overwhelming.If you love horses, history, or just a great spectacle, the High River Medieval Faire is well worth the drive. We’ll definitely be back next year!
