Light Up Okotoks returned for its 33rd year on Friday, November 21, 2025, transforming downtown Okotoks into a festive wonderland. This beloved annual event, proudly powered by Okotoks Ford & Okotoks VW, drew thousands of locals and visitors to celebrate the start of the holiday season with joy, community spirit, and twinkling lights.

From 5:30 to 9:00 p.m., the streets buzzed with family-friendly fun: live music, Christmas carols, wagon rides, ice sculptures, and the grand illumination of the community Christmas tree at Old Towne Plaza at 7 p.m. The evening culminated in a spectacular fireworks finale at Lineham Park at 9 p.m.

What made 2025 truly special? The weather! Unlike the usual cold, snowy November nights that define this Alberta tradition, this year's event enjoyed unusually warm and pleasant conditions. Attendees strolled comfortably without heavy coats, adding an extra layer of coziness and cheer to the atmosphere.
