Heart Mountain History

Heart Mountain in Wyoming is a site that holds significant historical and cultural importance. It commemorates the internment of thousands of Japanese Americans during World War II. Following the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, the United States government issued Executive Order 9066, which authorized the relocation and internment of Japanese Americans living on the West Coast. 

Heart Mountain was one of the ten concentration camps where over 14,000 Japanese Americans were forcibly relocated and held during the war. The site served as a reminder of the injustices and violations of civil liberties that occurred during this dark chapter in American history.

Today, Heart Mountain serves as a memorial and educational center, preserving the stories and experiences of those who were unjustly imprisoned there. It serves as a reminder of the importance of upholding civil liberties and standing against discrimination and prejudice. We are no in way criticizing The US  government for this, Canada had the same types of camps at the time, as some other countries may have also had them. The public often pays the price for what a Governing body decides to do at that point in time. At this time in life there is an overload of information available to the public, it is up to the public to research it and decide for themselves.  The majority of us want a simple freedom and to be left alone to grown our own life to the best of our ability.
