Camping in Alaska: A Fall AdventureLast fall, I embarked on an unforgettable journey from Calgary to Alaska, immersing myself in the wild beauty of the region. Camping became my gateway to experiencing Alaska's stunning landscapes, from dense forests to serene lakes. Whether car camping, renting cozy cabins, or occasionally splurging on a rare hotel room, each night offered a new adventure.
The JourneyDriving from Calgary, the transition into Alaska's rugged terrain was striking. The fall foliage painted the landscape with hues of gold and amber, especially around the lakes and forested areas. One highlight was spotting a floatplane gliding over a tranquil lake, a common sight in this remote region (see the first attached photo). Camping Options
