A Magical Evening at Spruce Meadows with KassDaysA Magical Night at Spruce Meadows Enchanted Lights – Through Kass’s Lens
Hey everyone, Kass here from KassDays! Last weekend I grabbed the camera, threw on every layer I own (because Alberta December doesn’t mess around), and headed out to Spruce Meadows for their Enchanted Lights event. And guys… it was pure holiday magic on a whole other level. The second I walked through the gates, it felt like stepping into a living Christmas card. Millions of lights everywhere—wrapped around trees, strung across bridges, even forming giant glowing reindeer and sleighs. The pathways were lit up in every colour you can imagine, and the air smelled like fresh pine, hot chocolate, and fire-roasted marshmallows. Instant vibe.I wandered around for hours just soaking it all in. There was this massive light tunnel that pulsed to music, a carousel spinning under a canopy of twinkling stars, and a full-on synchronized light show on the meadow that had everyone—kids and grown-ups alike—standing completely still with their mouths open. (Yes, I was one of them.) When the snow started falling lightly during “Let It Snow,” I honestly got a little choked up behind the camera. It was one of those perfect moments you can’t plan. Of course I had to hit the hot chocolate stand (extra marshmallows, no judgment), warm up by the fire pits while roasting the perfect golden marshmallow, and yeah… I finally tracked down Santa. Gave him a wave, snapped a quick photo, and kept rolling. The big guy’s still got it.If you’re anywhere near Calgary this holiday season and you need a serious dose of Christmas spirit, do yourself a favour and go. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring a thermos of something warm—Spruce Meadows Enchanted Lights is the real deal. Huge thank you to everyone who’s been watching the videos and supporting the channel. Nights like this are exactly why I started KassDays—to chase these little slices of wonder and share them with all of you. See you in the next one (probably still covered in marshmallow goo). Much love & happy holidays, Kass (KassDays on YouTube, Ko-fi, Patreon & everywhere else)
